    1. (5 min timer free write) Mindfulness can be an asset for either me or my student/school community with reference to these area(s) and applications:

    2. (5 min timer free write) How do I wish to integrate my work with the tea garden/school garden in order that it is fulfilling to me and sustainable for the school community? Is there a topic I could research with reference to this?

Take or develop one or two sentences per topic from each free write and contribute these to the forum as such (see below):

Mindfulness topic: Having a set time in the classroom for mindfulness has helped to develop a routine that is predictable and students can expect it to happen. Mindfulness is being calm and mindfulness is doing something on purpose to our best ability. The topic for mindfulness is breath/breathing. One question I can ask my students is: Am I contributing to the calm of our classroom? If so, how?

School Garden Research Topic: Integration for me is being able to share the mindful tea project with more students than are in my cohort. I want to connect with as many students as possible. The research topic can be plant varieties and their medicinal qualities.

    1. Mindfulness can reduce stress levels and associated ailments in the body and can create a greater sense of calm and emotional regulation in the classroom.

    2. A school garden can be used to enhance the science and social-emotional curriculums in the classroom while creating collaborations throughout the school and with the community.
